With Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet getting released later this September for the PlayStation 4, Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) America has picked up another Touhou game for a western release. For those who are dedicated Touhou fans, this is the localization of Mystery Gensokyo: The Tower of Desire which was released in Japan on June 25, 2015.

In Genso Wanderer, the player steps away from the typical bullet hell or shoot’em up Touhou is commonly recognized as. Instead, they must travel through a mysterious tower in a similar fashion to that of Mystery Dungeon games.

Fortunately for Reimu and her partner Ruto Mononobe, the player can use the fusion system to synthesize the loot items found in the tower. Unfortunately, the tower works in mysterious ways as it limits what can or can’t be done and collected, adding more restrictions to the players’ travels.

Touhou Genso Wanderer will be released early 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. You can check out their official site at NIS America for more details about the game.
