YouTuber StylesX2 has come across a certain glitch that shipped with the latest Super Smash Bros. patch. The unexpected consequence of said glitch is Pac-Man having ascended to the top of every tier list known to Smash.

What exactly does this glitch do?

Well, the trampoline summoned by Pac-Man’s recovery move now has instant kill potential. Technically it always did, because of its ability to put an enemy into the helpless state mid-air, but that was easily telegraphed and avoided.

This however… not so much.

As seen in the video above, if Pac-Man reuses his recovery when an opponent comes into contact with a red trampoline, he can drop them through the stage. Over on the Smashboards, this glitch has been fittingly dubbed the “trampoline stage drop.” I personally feel like it’s a missed opportunity for a trap door spider reference.

As you can imagine, players everywhere are questioning how such a game breaking glitch managed to ship undetected. It is, however, unquestionable that Pac-Man is currently omnipotent. Hide your glory, players.
