Shadow Warrior is a first-person shooter developed by 3D Realms in 1997, and it is making a return to Steam now in 2013.  Sixteen years ago, the game heralded improvements on older first-person shooters which we take for granted today such as transparent water, climbable ladders, and real room-over-room situations.

The game is known for its tongue-in-cheek cultural, perverted, and racy humor with its protagonist Lo Wang (hee-hee), a Chinese-Japanese man on a mission to stay alive, avenge his slain master, and kill Master Zilla, residing lord of Zilla Enterprises who has at his beck and call the demons and monsters lurking from the hellish planes. Duke Nukem fans or veterans who follow 3D Realms may have given this classic many play-throughs in its heydays, but opening it to Steam gives a new generation a throw-back to some old-time, gory action that made the ESRB relevant to this day.

On Steam, its graphics will be enhanced and clearer, and on download, it will come with the two expansion packs “Twin Dragon” and “Wanton Destruction”.  It will also feature newly added achievements which can be earned on Steam.

Now, go get some Wang.
