Pokémon GO took the world by storm, and now with the addition of 80 Johto Pokémon, will do so all over again. Encounter gameplay is said to be tweaked as well, with Pokémon acting in “new ways as you’re trying to catch them.” The addition of an item carousel will allow players to switch Pokéballs during encounters.
Outside of encounters, you can further customize your trainer with a new selection of clothing and accessories. Just another step in making your trainer completely unique.
Coming from the Pokémon Gold and Silver games, some of the added Pokémon include Marill, Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Totodile, and Crowbat. Many others were also seen in the announcement trailer shown below. With at least 80 Pokémon are coming to the game, players can look forward to hours of exploration.
While there is no exact date, this update will come to all Android and iOS users later this week.
