Gears of War 4 might only be a month old at this point, but developer The Coalition isn’t planning to rest anytime soon. The first title update for this game will be available to download on the November 1st, and with it brings about a few changes in relation to weapon tuning, and improving the general stability across Windows platforms. Butthis is not the only good news coming from this update.

We have two new maps being launched as well — Checkout and Drydock, both from Gears of War 3. If you don’t have a season pass you will have to wait until November 8th to play them, but once downloaded you can play them to your heart’s content.

I have fond memories of Checkout, as it was one of the Gears of War 3 beta maps. And to be honest, roadie-running through all the shops and pretending that it’s a more extreme version of Supermarket sweep never gets old.

You can check out flythroughs of the maps below:

Let’s hope that we get even more new maps in the future — though if they want to keep adding old maps I’m fine with that as well.
