A NexusMods user named BOTLANNER has published a mod called “Creature Follower ESP Version”, which allows the player to have a follower taken from one of the game’s various enemy types. The modder states that the follower “does not take up the follower slot”, meaning Dogmeat can come along too.

The mod allows for the following companions:

  • Deathclaw
  • Yao guai
  • Generation 1 Synth
  • Generation 2 Synth
  • Cat
  • Mutant Hound
  • Super Mutant Behemoth
  • Raider Dog
  • Gorilla
  • Radscorpion
  • Vicious Dog

These followers can fight, travel with you, and do anything else a regular follower can do, except for the relationship chat. For some odd reason, the modder states that the cat follower cannot fight (despite being one of the more vicious creatures on the list). The mod’s page includes some screenshots of the new companions in action.

This is just beginning of the avalanche of Fallout 4 mods we’ll likely see in the next few weeks. We’ve already spotlighted some pretty useful mods for gamers looking to improve upon Bethesda’s newest blockbuster title.
