Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be heading to the Xbox One later this year, as revealed during today’s Microsoft press conference during E3. The trailer, which Hideo Kojima has been mentioning on Twitter recently, shows off the FOX Engine’s dynamic lighting and the game’s open world gameplay.

This is the third confirmed console release for the game, with it also having been confirmed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 earlier this year.

Along with the dynamic lighting and open world gameplay mentioned above, Metal Gear Solid 5 will also feature dynamic CQC, a realistic passage of time, and a variety of vehicles as seen in the trailer seen below.

The trailer was a hell of a way to start E3! It will be difficult to get used to Kiefer Sutherland taking on the role of Snake, but with all that has been seen so far of the game it more than makes up for it in a few ways. Look for a Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain release later this year.
