The bidding started at $30 and made its way to $405 in two days. Two bids brought the price of it to $4,000 and $10,000 but were later retracted due to being new accounts.

Earlier this week, a Samus Aran Amiibo with two guns instead of one sold on eBay for $2,500 after 75 bids from various users.

Amiibo figures are similar to Disney Infinity and Spyro Skylanders. They’re used in conjunction with various games on the Wii U like Super Smash Bros. (also for 3DS), Captain Toad: Treasure TrackerMario Kart 8Mario Party 10Hyrule WarriorsYoshi’s Woolly World, and more.

The allure of the factory defect figure is beyond me. Sure, it’s interesting – but no way worth the amount of money people are willing to throw. Who knows how many more defected Amiibo will surface in the coming months. A tail-less Lucario? Rosalina without Luma? Meta Knight missing his sword?
