This budget alone makes Destiny the most expensive video game ever made, by a studio budget standpoint.

The studio behind Destiny has a ten-year deal with Activision, so the budget decision is understandable. No matter the reason for the cost, it is still hard to fathom the budget of this video game. One factor that might cause worry for both studios is the possible flop.

A flop would be a crucial blow for both companies. Regardless of the possible flop, Destiny seems more promising as we receive more footage. Bob Kotick believes that this is a huge gamble, as he has never had a budget for a video game this high.

Destiny is a massively multiplayer online first-person shooter, set in a mythical, science-fiction open world produced by Activision, and developed by Halo creator, Bungie.

Destiny is being developed for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and next-gen consoles set to release on September, 9, 2014. Will Destiny flop or will it be successful? Be sure to leave a comment below with your thoughts and whether you are excited or not.
