Super late to the WoW train? Had an account ages ago and need to get up to date on expansions? The World of Warcraft Battle Chest has undergone a couple of changes, one of which being the addition of the Cataclysm expansion.

The inclusion of Cataclysm brings the total expansions included in the one-time purchase up to three, plus the standalone game. Buyers will have to pick up Mists of Pandaria separately, but the cost for this new package continues to sit at $19.99. Mists of Pandaria costs $39.99.

Along with this update comes the removal of the ‘Battle Chest’ name from the World of Warcraft package, which is now just dubbed ‘World of Warcraft‘ on the official Blizzard store.

Physical copies of this set will be arriving in retailers soon, but the digital version can be found via the Blizzard store right now. The removal of the ‘Battle Chest’ name is a bit saddening, but World of Warcraft will live on without it.
