What is going on at Zynga? That’s a broad question, but it’s more than obvious that something is up. Zynga Mobile General Manager Matthew Wiggins announced his throwing in the towel on his personal blog yesterday.

“For me, the Wonderland Software/Zynga UK adventure has come to an end. Earlier this month I awoke to the exciting realisation that, after almost three and a half years, I had left that chapter behind and could look ahead to the future,” Wiggins explained. However, he didn’t exactly give any clues as to what that future might entail. Wiggins began Wonderland Software in 2009, and then a year and a half ago, Zynga bought the company and converted it to Zynga Mobile. But now, Wiggins follows VP Jonathan Flesher, CFO Dave Wehner, and Treasurer Mike Gupta out the door.

Perhaps it’s just a transitional phase, but things have certainly been shaken up at the social game developer. We will keep an eye on Wiggins’ blog. He promised to keep us up to date on his thoughts about the industry, technology, and “the passion of making games.” We look forward to it. Good luck to you, sir.
