New Screens for The Witness Show off the Picturesque and Colorful Marsh

A batch of new screenshots for Jonathan Blow’s The Witness released, showing off the game’s super-colorful marsh area.

The new screens are apparently shots of swampland research facility, with outdoor catwalks that stretch across pools of vibrant algae. The iridescent pools certainly look great, as they pop in contrast to the lush green foliage of the marsh.

“Colour was a big challenge in getting the area to look nice,” the post states. “There was a high risk of making it look like a clown exploded on it. With some careful colour choices, attention to every detail and blocking in the views on a step by step basis, however, I think we managed to avoid that risk and succeeded in creating a pleasant, colourful area.”
